Together We Can Solve Hunger

A food drive is a great way to help your community and at Second Harvest Food Bank we strive to make it as easy as possible. All you have to do is fill out your Food Drive Registration Form so that we know you are planning an event. Once received, we can provide you with food collection barrels to hold your donations, tips for a successful event, a list of “most needed items” and even help you track your donations.

At the conclusion of your event, we can also provide assistance with transportation of your donations back to the food bank! Although, we hope that you will come down for a tour and learn more about hunger. Join us as we weigh your donations and share with you how many meals you have provided for the food insecure. While you’re here take photos of your group and share your efforts on social media! We rely on people in our community to help us answer the call of hunger; we can’t do it without you!

Planning to host a food drive? The food bank works with the help of generous people like you. Start the process by completing the form below. Our Food Sourcing Coordinator will get back to you soon!

Highlight Corner

No child should have to wonder when their next meal will be. As part of our United Way Campaign, Partnership staff competed to see which team in our office could bring in the most food to donate to Second Harvest. Tenants in our building, board members, and child care centers participated in our food drive.

Belinda Gainey, Partnership for Children of Cumberland County

Belinda Gainey, Tamiko Colvin, Susan McAllister and Stacia Manuel deliver food drive donations.
